The long intricate crown paisley in the elegant white color on the red base is a classic combination. Painstakingly embroidered, the work is so dense at places that even the red base isn’t visible.- Composition : 100% Cashmere
The fine cashmere hijabs, hand woven on the traditional wooden looms take about 390 hours to be ready. The fine cashmere fibre is collected from the capra hircus goats in the spring / summer months by carefully combing out the fur. The fibre is then carded, combed & spun into yarns to be woven into the cashmere fabric.
Our stringent quality-testing approach tests the textile, and protects the interest of customers. Testing is done by The Craft Development Institute (CDI) of Srinagar, the only fully-focused cashmere lab in India.
The plain hijabs are however, tested in batches of six. We are willing to send the copies of the batch test reports with the plain products upon request.
5% of our profit proceeds are given back to the welfare and up-liftment of the women & children of the artisan families & communities.
