Our opulently refined avant-garde gold cashmere shawls, woven in quaint little villages in the Kashmir Valley on the historic wooden looms, are a work of timeless dedication & love. The textural patterns formed add softness to the feel of the shawl & create an optical illusion for the beholder.- Composition : 100% Cashmere
The fine gold pashmina shawl, hand woven on the traditional wooden loom takes anout 40 hours to be ready. The fine cashmere fibre is collected from the capra hircus goats in the spring / summer months by carefully combing out the fur. The fibre is then carded, combed & spun into yarns; the warp & weft are dyed in separate colors to be woven into the cashmere fabric.
Our stringent quality-testing approach tests the textile, and protects the interest of customers. Testing is done by The Craft Development Institute (CDI) of Srinagar, the only fully-focused cashmere lab in India.
The textured shawls are however, tested in batches of six. We are willing to send the copies of the batch test reports with the products upon request
5% of our profit proceeds are given back to the welfare and up-liftment of the women & children of the artisan families & communities.
