The Exquisite Craftsmanship

When the finest Cashmere reaches the process of weaving, the artisans swear on the handlooms. Therefore, start the alluring craft of Aksi Pashmina. The Spun fibres of Cashmere are whirled on the Thonchurr by the process of Pranch. Afterwards, the Naqoosh for embroidery is cast very precisely and the weaving begins. The weaving of Aksi Pashmina Shawl is not basic. It is an extensive and diligent process.

The designs are crafted by splitting the warp threads into two while weaving on the handloom. The other side of the Pashmina Shawl is either left plain or embroidered with another design. The embroidery is profuse on either side with the luxury of intricacy. Both the faces of Aksi Pashmina prove the word of luxury of Pashmina Art.

Also, the name Aksi comes from the word, Aks meaning "reflection or side". Therefore, the design is very intricate and needs a quality artisan to work on. In addition, in the pattern, the design of one face is reflected on the other face of the Pashmina Shawl in distinct colours used as the weft while weaving. The process requires the utmost diligence and precision as the embroidery done on each face reflects on the other beautifully. It is the magic of the hands of artisans who very precisely play around with the warps and wefts.

The difference between Do-Rukha and Aksi is that Do-Rukha embroidery is done on one side but the technique is so skilled that it looks identical on both sides. However, in the case of Aksi, the embroidery is done individually on both separate sides in different designs or colour combinations.  Thus, both sides are like a different shawl altogether.

Guaranteed Quality

We appreciate that you expect the finest quality of Pashmina from us. So we follow a stringent quality-testing approach on every single piece that we produce. Our Pashminas go through an inflexible testing procedure at the Craft Development Institute (CDI) of Srinagar, the only fully-focused Pashmina lab in India. After testing our Pashminas come with lab reports, fibre tests, name of product and artisan and product life and durability.

We guarantee the purity and authenticity of our products. We are 100% sure about our products being handwoven from pure Cashmere yarn. If you are not satisfied with the product, or if it is proven that any of our claims are false, you can easily return it to us with a full refund.
